Treatment plant

Kaolin sand, extracted at the mine, is transported to the treatment plant, where it is broken down and different products are obtained.

The treatment plant as well as its technical and administration offices are situated in the municipality of Llíria, where they currently occupy 35.000m2 and have another 50.000m2 for possible expansions.

The treatment plant’s capacity is of 330.000 Tm/p.a.

Actual production is at:
25.000 Mtpa of kaolin
160.000 Mtpa of silica sand for glass
25.000 Mtpa of sands for filters ...etc
20.000 Mtpa of fine sand for white cement

This new plant was opened in 2004 and has triplicate its production capacity with respect to its old installations, with a total investment sum of seven million euros.
